The Home of Kale

About Kale

What is kale?

Kale is a brassica and part of the cabbage family. Most of the kale you eat is grown by British farmers in Lincolnshire. The rich and fertile soil found on our farms is just part of the reason why kale is one of the most nutritious vegetables grown in Britain.

Kale is produced in the UK nearly all year round – with most being produced between June and March, with the late autumn and early winter months when it is at its most plentiful.

Kale has attractive curly leaves that are deep green in colour and are where nearly all the nutrients are found.

To help you make the most of kale we prepare it for you – so all you need to do is to simply add to whatever dish you are making. From stir fries and casseroles, to salads, soups and smoothies, simply add a few handfuls of kale for extra flavour, colour, texture and nutrients.
